So my parents are going to Cuba today. My father works for the Port Commission here in Louisiana and is going there for business, my mom is tagging along. I told them to scoop me up some cigars. Anybody have any suggestions for Cuban cigars? I've only had Cohiba and Montecristo's from Cuba and they're getting a few of those for me. Any other brands they should keep an eye out for?

Tell them to pick you up a few Bolivars. Had one last night that was pretty tasty.

Tell them to not buy ANYTHING off the street from anyone. Yes even Cuba has fake Cuban Cigars. Tell them to go to an official governmental store to get any cigars. I believe they are only allowed to bring back $100 of merchandise. Bolivars and Partagas are a good choices.

Only buy from a La Casa del Habano. Best deals will be on the LCDH exclusive cigars, everything else can be had outside of Cuba for about the same price.

I'd also have them look for the Duty Free Travel series and jars. Every cigar from these was outstanding. Not sure what the island prices are. I'd love to make this trip before it gets Americanized and commercialized. Best of luck and I hope your folks have a blast. 🌫

I thought the cuban white owl pineapple just barely edged out the grape , it was just more .. tropical, to me .

Don't smoke the cuban cigars there. Havana is too hot and humid May-Sept to enjoy the cigars.
Save them for home. Take some cheap DR stix down there to smoke while there, if you want.
