This week's search for new Oktoberfests at the local distributor offered Fort Collins Brewery's Oktoberfest. A 2015 Gold Medal Winner in the Dortmunder or German-style Oktoberfest category at GABF. ABV: 6%, IBU: 24.

Paired with an LFD Colorado Oscuro Robusto thanks to m j toal from the Stanley Cup Final winnings. Found the brew to be light, probably the lightest of Oktoberfests I've had. Very complex on the front-end with a heavy caramel smoothness. But found the back-end to be flat, not creamy, with little carbonation. The brew poured a nice foamy head, but fizzled quickly. After the 4th or 5th photo the head was almost completely gone. This was the 1st shot after the initial pour.

Looks like a good marzen.
