I know it's tough to find, but geez......getting ridiculous.
The two shops here (Fred Meyer, Bi-Mart) never know when they'll get stock.
When they do? Gone in an hour or two, even with the max-purchase/day rules.

So I talked with the gun dude at Bi-Mart, and asked why this happens (they vanish in an hour)
He looked at me like I was kinda naive...........OK............dumb.

Basically there's a group of guys that check almost daily. When the ammo arrives, and someone sees it? They're on their cell phone, and all their buddies, and wives, and brothers, and friends, and hobos off the street are recruited, and that ammo just vanishes.

I was lucky the other day and got the second to the last box of the Winchester hollow points, box of 235, from Fred Meyer....a little pricey at $17.50...........but least I got some.
Thought about having the wife come down to buy the last box.............but they were gone about 2 minutes after I bought mine!

The big box places here (ohio) suck. But the local gun stores all have it on the shelf. More expensive than it used to be but federal 525 boxes for $40 don't break the bank

Enough to take the kids out plinking, then replace what we shoot.

Daughter has a single shot Marlin.

They really enjoy shooting the 10-22 with the 25 round Butler Creek mag though....I don't like kids cheating with scopes though.

I'm a little surprised a new manufacturer hasn't emerged. I'm sure there would be a lot of hoops to jump through but it seems plausible to me that they would succeed.

I've been lucky enough to still find it for $0.05/rd pretty regularly

I remember buying milk cartons of cartridges for $5-$10 apparently those now cost $40 or so.

We used to have a shortage a couple years ago but now most places here have decent stock. I just think it's bullshit to pay $5 for 50 rounds.

Still nonexistent locally but I've been able to get some here n there from Cabelas online free ship to store.

Can get it at any of the local gun shows for 3x retail, but I won't play that game.

Had a buddy text me that bass pro (almost an hour away) had just put out a full pallet of bulk packs. I happened to be out doing stuff and was only 30 minutes from there. It was a mob even with the 2 box limit. I got one box, and only because I asked a cashier if she had any that were held from people over limit.

Local gun shop has a good bit on the shelf, but $10/50 rds ain't buying. CCI mini mags are $15/50.

I still shoot it up faster than I can get it. Currently have about 20 rounds of 22 shorts which I'm holding on to for pest control. Have zero to shoot for fun.

Tough to find at once "reasonable" prices (.02/.03 per round) the last several years. But a lot of other commercialy produced ammo is up in price too. I just shake my head at what 38 special and 9mm go for per round- just glad I can reload for most of what I shoot.

A guy I work with told me his brother in FL said there are pallets of .22LR sitting in the stores, but not many people purchasing. I don't know what it's priced per round.

I've got about 13k of .22LR left in inventory. I've been stingy about shooting it because of limited availability and looking to restock, but have yet to find a deal.

The upcoming election will have a profound impact on all shootin fun stuff too...

+2 But closer to 3K. With a weekly silhouette league, ya gotta have a regular supply of ammo!

Check Midsouth Shooters Supply. The Norma USA shoots great and cycles well through my semi.

325rnds boxes of Federal Target Grade are regularly available locally for $19-23/box.

Online? If so, please pm me the link.

Most online places I know of are MORE than the inflated local prices I'm paying...........:-k ............maybe they're not so inflated after all.

Then again........Fred Meyer got some more in today.........$9.40 for a 100ct......hollow points............i bit............I feel like an over paying noob..........least there's no tax and no shipping.
