3rd mall attack in a month. I feel like nowhere is safe. I blinked and we became a country unable to protect our citizens.

Or have we became a country where our citizens are unable to defend themselves ?

The suspect was a lawyer and he is dead .

Not a big deal really; it just happened in a high profile part of Houston. **** like that happens in the Ward all the time and no one blinks an eye. Besides the dumbass was shooting at 6am. Who the Hell does that? He could have waited till at least 9-10am and really wreaked havoc.

The man shot 9 people. Are you saying that is a common occurrence in Houston?

Spey, a man in Houston got stabbed to death last year for eating the last piece in a box of fried chicken. What I'm saying is that more ludicrous stuff has happened in "City of Syrup."

When we were a country of citizens, things were different.

We've got from hard worker and tough people to a bunch of marshmallow pusses and soft targets.

Don't worry. You'll remember these current times a peaceful days. Enjoy these times of mall shootings and two of the worst presidential candidates all time debating the topics. Real active peace.

All this talk of 'mall' shootings but there's not a Mall remotely near Wesleyan and Law. That's right their near university place, really ritzy part of houston. Tightly knit community.

J, thanks for explaining. I miss the America I grew up in. I'm pretty sure it's gone.

Yeah man, those days are over but don't let all this fear mongering get to you. Pretty sure the guy was depressed, probably in the middle of a divorce dealing with a failed practice. Legal is so saturated down here anyway it's a wonder that professionals can even find work at a good rate.

I used to stop by the spec's liquor store in that strip center just before my violin class to buy cigars. They always had great deals on discontinued sticks. My teacher had a studio about three or four blocks from the shooting.

I really find it strange how the shooting took place there. Those guys in that area are loaded to the gills with money. I mean they practically sweat gold.

Buncha drama queens. Life is still good. Don't let an OCD 24 hour news cycle turn you in to milk toast.

He was a lawyer, he knew what he was doing. By putting on the nazi paraphernalia he would have a firm case of pleading insanity and would have a much lighter sentence. Good thing he was neutralized. Makes me feel comfortable our police are working with skill and diligence.
