Has anyone bought the Xikar XO yet? Opinions on it? Seems pricey to me, but I know they make great products with their lifetime warranty. Just don't know if I can spend $100 on a cutter. I do want to pick up their punch and V cut. I have the scissor tool and love it.

I am shocked that nobody on here has got one yet. If anyone does, let me know what you think.

My opinion on Xikar is that the cutters are great, warranty is awesome, but the pricey cutters just aren't worth it to me. Pick up an X8 for around $12 on here maybe less and a X2 for around $18 and never worry about a cutter again. $30 plus whatever you have in it for shipping and you have 2 lifetime warrantied cutters for 1/3 of the price of one cutter that honestly would only be used to impress people that you bought an expensive cutter and I wouldn't know what you paid for it without you telling me anyway.

I also like the xi1. 30 bucks lifetime warranty. Why spend 3 times as much.

Xikar doesn't double as a cigar holder when you're away from home.

That is a good point, they should add that feature.

I prefer a V-cut and love the design of the Xikar cutter, it has a contoured back to allow you to use as a cigar rest.

I agree with Conan. Pretty sure I received the Xicar V from reckless. Love it and the shape.

I think they're terrible. Gears are either poorly machined or poorly mounted, the movement is gritty feeling. They tried way too hard to make a cool-looking cutter, didn't put enough effort into making it move well.

My general opinion of Xikar products is that they sacrifice quality to pay for their lifetime warranty. See tons and tons of poorly made Xikar lighters and cutters around the local shop. People put up with it because of the warranty.

I am not sure I have seen a single problem with a xikar cutter besides it getting dull after a ton of usage.

I watched reviews looks like because it is so thick it is hard to judge where you are cutting the cap.

I really want their V cut and punch cut...even though the prices are lower, it is still hard to justify them when I have other cutters that work fine.

From other sources I have heard, only some of the XO's have the gear issues you guys are talking about. Have a friend that played with two of them. Said one was super slick and smooth and the other was gritty feeling. I imagine the gears could get gunked up dirt, dust and cigar pieces. Seems like an odd design all around.

I would take one if it was given to me, but really don't think I can justify that much for a cutter with iffy reviews.
