Anyone else a collector like me? Seems like I collect way too many different types of things. What do you collect? Do you consider yourself a collector or a hoarder? I would consider myself a collector.

Me:
-Sports Cards & Memorbilia
-Old/Foreign Coins/Currency
-CD's / DVD's
-Loose Leaf Teas - Not sure if you can consider it a collection when you use them, but with how many I have I would say it is a collection, same with cigars and cologne.
-Bobbleheads
-Fishing Lures (currently only new ones that I use, but want to get into collecting old ones)
-Board Games
-Books
-Hats
-Beer Bottles (up until now I have only collected the ones I have tried. I have about 175 so far. However, my dad picked me up some Iron City Cans that have the Steelers Super Bowl teams on them from back in the day. Pretty sure it is making me want to collect old bottles and cans now.

If you have 4 of something, does it count? If so, I also collect children...meaning I have 4 of my own. They are 5 yr old daughter, 3 yr old son and twin girls that are 1. Fun times.

I have extras, if you're interested.
PM me your email and I'll send you a pic of the ones I have on display on my wall.

I am always looking for a new thing to collect.

I currently collect:

cd's
lp's
vintage mechanics tools/hand tools
cowboy boots
pipes
coins
Adidas sneakers
audio equipment

I have slowed down on some of the above and gotten rid of some of my collections, but still am always on the lookout for them.

After attending several estate auctions where I saw things the dead guy bought at auctions and his family had to deal with I started getting rid of a lot of crap, er collections/accumulations. I also consolidated (fewer and better examples) my knife and blue steel object collections.

I do have a few coins set aside and even some stamps that I speculated will increase in value.

Coffee cups are my current problem, I have a few dozen from places we have been, artsy examples, places I have worked and many more from contractors and businesses I dealt with over the years. Once the word gets out you collect something too many people are there to enable your addiction, especially small value items like coffee cups. If any of you need some cups let me know, I can only use one at a time.

I have found that I get far more pleasure from getting rid of things than collecting them.

My wife is a borderline hoarder........................it can be challenging.
I keep wanting to have a yard sale.............she keeps stalling.
I own unopened CASES of wine glasses..........and we don't even drink anymore.
I'm renting a storage shed to keep all her "stuff".
Quite sure that I have already spent more in rent than the stuff is worth.

Oh well.................

This^^ My wife is a knitter, plus she quilts, spins fiber, paints, etc. She has a studio that I can't even look at because it makes my head want to explode. On top of that the entire attached garage is full of yarn and fabric and fiber and MOST of the unattached garage is too. She has waaaaaay more stuff than she'll use in this lifetime. It kinda drives me crazy because we could actually move into a significantly smaller house if it wasn't for all her $hit but....I love her...so what you gonna do?

I guess I collect fishing gear. I have 8 rod/reel combos in my garage and one I keep in Wisconsin. I have 3 tackle boxes... and various lures, jigs, hooks, weights, and rigs for rock fish, halibut, steel leaders, etc.
