What were they?

2016 was pretty good to me. Nothing really took me too low, and the one thing that did may have been a blessing in disguise.

Highlights? 2 that got me excited. My boat, and the results of the promotion process.

I'm blessed... and thankful.

Lowlight? My younger cousin passing.

Highlight? Me not asking for prayers. (Kidding)

My highlight would have to have been getting to bask in the glow eminating from sdeve's hair in August.

Bromance!

Highs: I bought a Platinum Membership (10 actually) and the Starsky and Hutch marathon.

Lows: I neglected to ask for prayers when I dropped my ice cream.

Up until when you traumatized me with that latkes recipe.

$1200 in therapy later, I'm just now barely able to look at a potato again.

High: Our youngest son got married and we gained a second favorite daughter in law. \:D/

Low: Thinking I could wake up on a November Wednesday with Hillary as the POTUS. 😨

High: joining this awesome site and bombing some great BOTL, spending lots of time with my wife and 4 kids, spending 10 days in Canada constantly fishing.

Low: already shared that in my other thread. It has been a really rough year for me. It has beat me down pretty bad. Praying next year is a lot better. It won't take much to be better.

Low - our home renovations that started on July 5. No kitchen, living room or back bathroom for over 2 months. Wife and I basically ate out every night and then crowded together in our bedroom. Two other bedrooms packed with stuff that didn't make it to the storage locker.

High - the official end of our renovations on September 26. All the major work was completed and life returned to normalcy. Wife had retired in August so she had time to put things away in her new cabinets. She is very happy with the way things turned out. As we all know, happy wife = happy life, right?
