My buddy who got me into whiskey has started to get into cigars. instead of leading him into the over priced humidor that my local shop tried to bait him on, i was going to get him his very own tupperdor as i make my own for overflow.

any guys have any extra, general trays laying around before i visit the world wide web? or sheets from boxes that they dont use to light thier cigars?

Free empty boxes from the b&m with the lids pried off works for me. I wipe them down with a clean towel and distilled water.

thats how i started out my wineador, but seemed to not get as aromatic as drawers. i really liked the undercrown/nub boxes since ther have an unfinished/not stained element to them. or is the main point of this to stabilize the RH? still learning

Buy a cooler and leave the cigars in their original boxes and cabs.

Us lowly peasants sometimes buy singles at the B&M but in great enough numbers that we have to put them somewhere, everything else stays in its box.

I used an empty MF centurion toro box from my local last year when I got in on Barts LGSB VI group buy. It's worked great for me, have 6 more left.

I figure the varnish on the outside of the box doesn't matter much seeing that the cigars are inside the box or tray whatever you'd call it now.
