I got one of these in a sampler and it was one of the best cigars I had smoked. Found a good buy on the Robustos here on cigarbid and bought 4- 5 packs. I have not had a good one yet and have 3 or 4 left in my humidor.

What gives .... I know that sometimes you get a bad cigar but this many? Wondering if this has happened to anyone else with this cigar.

Rott, or too close to it, they can be harsh.
I don't bother smoking them until they've had a one year nap.
Even then, on occasion, the first half inch can be a bit "rough. But then they settle down nicely.
Very good midrange cigar in my opinion, and the best deal on FF here (10-pack reset at 34.99)......if they still offer it that is.

I don't know ...they mainly taste like an ashtray. Just tried another one tonight couldn't even tolerate the taste ...threw it away. Thanks anyway.

Could be the one you got in the sampler had some time on it?
They do have an " earthy" profile sometimes.
Maybe let the few you have left sit until after Christmas, and then revisit.

Last one I smoked was a "lancero" (lonsdale sized) that Palama sent me. It was very good. Looking around for some more at a good deal ...
