Yeah I'm already thinking about deer season.

So I'm in the market for a new firearm for primitive weapon season. In years past I sat with my son. Being a youth, he can use his rifle.
Now he hunts by himself. So if I want to hunt, I need a compliant firearm.

In the Sip, we can use the following

444
35 Whelen.

I like the 444 the best I think.

45-70's are beautiful rifles. I love that smaller companion, 30-30 too.

My father has the 45-70. I killed a deer with it last year. Fine gun and no complaints about it.

I wanted the 444 for the lighter recoil. In 2 years Ocho will need one also. So I will pass this along to him.
