I don't have one, but interested in the same.

Compatability is my hesitation.

Do you have to buy a Samsung sound bar for a Samsung tv?

Are all Samsung sound bars all compatable with of their tvs?

I got a Sony Vizio soundbar with subwoofer and two separate rear speakers at Sam's Club for $249 back in June......it was pretty easy to setup on my Sharp tv using HDMI cables
Sounds pretty good for the money.....wife loves Horror movies,and I have to admit,I've come close to dirtying my diaper a couple of times since we've had it 😰

Have a Bose system hooked to a Samsung flat screen. Works great but you do have to work with two remotes.

Picked up a LG at cowboy Maloney a few months ago. I think it was around $100.

Skip the BOSE, FGM. I read in several audio publications that have done reviews and dissected the systems for close inspection: BOSE equals Buy Other Stereo Equipment. They make decent and superior headphones, but their other stuff is over-priced and has similar build quality and components to lower priced systems. You pay a mark up for their national advertising. But like madspackler, I know a couple of people who have BOSE sound systems connected to their TV's and they like'em.

I have a Yamaha YSP 1400 soundbar paired to a Samsung 48" in the master bedroom, 15' x 30'... it sounds great with very deep bass tones, but I have never cranked it way up. And if you want true surround sound, a soundbar won't give it to you...the fill-in sounds from rear speakers that we get from the TV/sound system in the living room aren't as clear as from the soundbar...

... about $170 at Costco...Our TWC Spectrum cable system remote can be programmed to run all three: cable, TV, soundbar...even the blu ray player....

The soundbar is wired to and wall-mounted directly below the TV, but both have bluetooth capability. Bluetooth's one way you can add a sub and rear speakers to get full surround sound. I use a wireless amplifier plugged into the receiver in the living room to transmit audio to the rear speakers since it would've been too difficult to poke holes in the ceiling and walls to run wires.

The Visio SB2920 (less Expensive) and Sonus Playbase (expensive) get pretty good reviews. If you are worried about having too many remotes just get a Logitech Universal Remote and take the time to get it programed and working. 🌫

I went with Sony for two different rooms. In the living room, with a smaller TV, I have a wired Sony soundbar. Bought it before bluetooth soundbars were as prevalent as today. But, the sound is excellent for that room and application...think it was in the neighborhood of $130 a few years ago. If I was replacing it today, I'd get similar/same, but wireless.

In the den ('TV room) I have Sony 'system'. Blue ray, 5.1 surround. Rear speakers have bluetooth receiver. Not sure the model, but it was probably around $500-600 three years ago. Sound is outstanding, setup easy, and has never given me any problems.

I wouldn't hesitate to go with Sony again, but I'm sure there's more decent competition than just a few years ago.
