Howdy Gents,

I am an amateur cigar hound with about 200 sticks from eight different labels in three different humidors. I am running into a problem I am hoping that some of you more experienced cowboys might be able to help me with. I am consistently having uneven burn issues with multiple sticks from multiple brands from all three of my humidors. If anyone has an idea that might help me out I would greatly appreciate it.

Well I'm coonass but never the less you may check the humidity in your humidors. If you smoke maduros and oscuros you may need to dry box them for a week or two before trying to smoke them.. Burn problems are normally caused by the cigars being too wet. You can also try keeping the cigar rotated in your hand while smoking.

Depending on the type of burn issues it can also be the cigars you are smoking. Some blends (especially thick wrapper cigars) just burn uneven and require an occasional touchup

When you set the smoke down put the side that is not burning on the bottom and let it rest a minute that helps what cigars are you smoking?

Its better to have fact than to guess so I would suggest You would have to send me a few dozen for me to inspect and run test on in order to see what the problem is. I could send you a report on the testing free of charge lmaoooooo. [gonzo]

If I had to guess I would go with humidity as Jacq
stated, that is if you have good quality stogies. Now if you are smoking Dog Turds them things you light the foot and the other end starts burning. I was keeping my humidity in the 70 to 72 range and was having those issues. I cut back to 67 to 68 now razor sharp burns. I was amazed at what 3 to 4 % could make.
