The hype is allegedly they pick three of every thousand leaves for the Cameroon wrapper.

Regardless, this robusto was terrific.

Rolled in 1998 and the yellow cello showed the age.

Well rolled with an ultra smooth and creamy medium body with a slow cool burn.

A complex mix of delicious flavor, fruit, nuts, chocolate and coffee without any pepper or harshness.

If you enjoy Hemingway or Don Carlos, spend an extra few dollars and try one of these.

Sounds like anything to avoid giving Fuente any money. Overpriced Partagas instead of Hemingways and budget Torano instead of Ashton, maybe he is a disgruntled ex employee of Fuente.

I can get yellow cello in less than 3 months if I just keep my cigars in my truck humidor. The heat swells to 120-140 degrees during the summer so there's no chance of beetles making it through alive and the cigars...well hell I guess they age I dunno. Seems like they still retain their flavor.

^^^^ Did you learn that from the noob that said he baked cigars in his humidor ?

Yeah he taught me good tony. The point I was trying to make is that yellow cello is not a demarcation of quality or age.

I get wary of yellow/brown cellos. That means the oils that are on the cello are no longer in the cigar...

Usually means it's going to be more mild than I prefer..

In any case, I would rather have the Fuentes... and I certainly won't spend a few more bucks for an NC Partagas when I can buy a Don Carlos for a few dollars cheaper.
