McNair is not a typical owner, not third generation silver spoon who did nothing but inherit. He's actually a former player.
I don't have the time nor the energy right now, but the stats regarding prison population are insanely skewed toward incarceration of poorer Americans/African American population...a matter that relates more toward our opiate thread than sports...the War on Drugs turned out to be a War on Race, sadly, as this was not intentional.
if this was not factual, MACS would be rehabbing the owner of the Indianapolis Colts and his ilk as well as the current crop of repeat offenders who simply can't afford to support their addictions nor enter lavish rehab facilities with their current incomes.
Irsay simply does not need to mug anyone nor rob a gas station to satisfy his "Jones", but under/unemployed addicts must...and that leads to criminal prosecution that wealthier addicts never face since they need not steal to pay for drugs.
I can't say for sure, but I suspect we, or at least I, might be hypersensitive to prisoner references if I was a Black guy in the NFL.
