I have had this problem with many of the My Father line including the very limited Oro de Nic line. I complained and they sent a new box that did the same. Helps a little to keep that massive band on until the last minute before trying to remove it but it still grabs the wrappers.#-o

Start to peal thee band where it is glued to itself, and as soon as it releases, stop.
Then lift the band just a touch, gently, and fog up underneath it.
Do this a few times while you're smoking the cigar.
Don't start the pealing process until the char line gets to about 1/2 inch away from the band.
