🇨🇮 Now here is Cigar that has pleasantly surprised me. I snagged one of the Man O War Samplers from CBid just to try a few of their darkies out and have some light cigars on hand for when my brother makes it up this next month. Anyway the cigar started out very sweet and fairly smooth I am noticing a slightly harsher tobacco the deeper In I get, but still overall a very flavorful cigar very much has a woody flavor to it I can’t quite register which would that is just yet maybe by the time I’m done smoking it, I will be able to. There is also a hint of pepper and spice All the flavors appear to get stronger the deeper into the cigar you get. The cigar is not in my top five but still a very good smoke.

I have never been a Man O War fan, They tend to fall in the Gurkha category for myself. Don't get me wrong I have a few of each and over time I am sure I will smoke them but they are not my first reach in the humi and grab.

I used to grab a Virtue for breakfast now and again. Nothing else in the line did much for me, either.

I like the Virtue myself.......not a big fan of any of the others in the line, I don't hate them, but I don't go out of my way to find them

Agreed, definitely not my favorite by far, but I figured I should at least try them. As for my personal taste, it was good but not great. Honestly I found it a bit on the harsh side. It was really flavorful, but left my stomach slightly upset by the half way mark. It appears to have quite the nicotine content, but again, just not my favorite.

So I am going to have to say a mixed review. Flavorful but harsh seems to be the best way to describe it.

I feel as if I just smoked a Gurka....... That lasting nasty ash flavor seems to have hit. Yuck 🤢!!!!

Always try any cigar for sure. That's the neat thing about cigars, Take the KFC for instance I love those, Some hate um with a passion. I love high nic content as well in cigars. I wonder if the harshness would go away with age?

That is pretty bad. Gurkha's are pretty nasty.

I had to use mouthwash to destroy that terrible flavor.

Lmao, it tasted good, but the after effects were awful.

Ruination and MoWPAs with a good nap on them are solid cigars imo.

Good fresh, but I found over the years to let them rest... let them sit for at least a year or two. Smoked one a short while ago, prolly 3 + years old, and it was a really good cigar...

I used to like a handful of their smokes. But eventually they fell out of favor.

I don't like the AJF flavor profile/quality. They're a solid cheaper smoke though.

I go in spurts, I use the AJF wares here and there mainly for work smokes and cigars where I might not have a chance on finishing them.

I just bought a bunch of them cause I was out of yard gars (and have been out for a while).

Not bad for purposes such as those.

Dan, I found the Ave Maria Immaculeta (or however you spell it) to be a decent morning smoke, you might like it if you tried it.

Rest them for a couple years and that harshness disappears. I find that to be true with almost all of AJ's blends (not sure if these are still his since he no longer blends for a certain competitor that has similar addresses). I enjoy a lot of his cigars but always tend to rest them for an extended amount of time.

^ I heard something about this (no longer doing ci exclusives), have not been able to find any information on it (I've looked... at least twice).

Not a fan - the PA's (corona) in both natural and maduro didn't do anything for me even with a couple of years rest.
