Redundancy in structural design is the saving grace for a lot of construction projects. However, long free spans and cantilevers depend must respond to a lot of stress.

We had an elevated highway with large single piers with cantilevered lanes and long spans.....worked fine until one piling started to sink.

In Miami, DOT thought what a great idea, crane this precast bridge over a road so you don't have to close or detour. No mistakes allowed however. In search of who to blame, which of couse some is to blame, many innocent players will be destroyed by lawsuits.

Infrastructure cant be a problem,,,, Hussein Obamma spent BILLIONS on shovel ready jobs to take care of those problems.
