My daughter has her router in the back bedroom of her house so it's crap reception on the other end. Moving the router to the center of the house would be a major pain that we would rather do without. Had good luck with a power line extender... I'll find the brand. Look at your fuse box first tho. Works best if it stays on the same circuit.

We used an Amped wireless extender at our old house...a 2015? model to extend the range of a several year old Netgear router...that did the job.



At our new house, our Linksys EA7500 router covers the entire house, upstairs and down, outside frontyard and backyard...no need for the Amped extender...so if you get a powerful router, you may not need an extender

+1 on the power line extenders, they work well. You can hardwire into them as well.

Amazon has a ton of these.........most I saw were under $40

I would say +1 on #'s 4 and 10. I had same problem and went to Best Buy. They were able to recommend an e-net extender that would work best with our e-net providers service.

We had a similar problem in an older home with metal path and plaster walls. Zero internet signal once you were a few rooms away from router. We went to provider and they gave us a signal extender for the house. It improved the signal a good bit but was not a complete answer. I added a splitter and ran hard wire in basement ceiling, then up into room on opposite side of house. Added a second router

Forget the extender, get the Nighthawk router and you'll have reliable hassle free wifi across your entire property, maintenance free and you wont have to even consider an upgrade for years. Tis more expensive than other options but it is absolutely unmatched

I looked at all the suggestions, the wifey and I had a powerline adapter and it worked great until w had a power surge and smoked it so I'm a little leary about that one, they have power outages all the time at their house.

Will do more research on the others... you guys are the best
