It's ridiculously simple.

1. Heat a small cup of water (I use the microwave). Done.

2. Drop a teaspoon in it for a few seconds.

3. Make sure it's not stupid hot, but really hot works best.

4.Dab or press the bite. The hotter the spoon the better.

Sounds dumb I know but it works every time.

You're welcome.

I like After Bite. It's a pen like dabber. Ammonia water basically I think. I keep one handy when I'm going to be outside in the evening.

I've tried different analgesics, but the itch always comes back.
It doesn't with this hot spoon trick.

would torching a spoon with a cigar lighter do the trick?

It'd be easier to bring a spoon out at night with the cigar and lighter, than to have to get up and go into the kitchen...

A mosquito injects a protein when it bites you. It causes loss of blood clotting and itch as well as swelling at the injection site. The heat from the spoon kills the protein which causes the itch to stop.
