Assuming price and availability are not an issue what is your favorite bourbon or whiskey?
personally
Weller 12 is at the top of my list right now
Macallan is technically scotch but I really like their fine oaks
Michtners American Whiskey is all pretty up there for me.

Not the same question.

I can be drinking a whiskey but it may not be my favorite.

So, to answer the OP (...but not necessarily in order...):

Four Roses Single Barrel
Blanton's Straight From The Barrel
Elmer T. Lee
Eagle Rare
Basil Hayden (...need to pick up another bottle...)

What is my Favorite bourbon?

Ewok Van Winkle what else!

I just shipped a batch to my dad two days ago.

I had to say a prayer and shed a tear as the mailman was driving off.😢

Yeah Elmer is great if you can find it at inflated MSRP

Also like the Four Roses Small Batch better than single barrel

I am with you, I like the Four Roses Small Batch better than the Single Barrel as well.

Bakers and Basil are in my rotation for bourbon. Not really a fan of Bookers, too inconsistent for me. Bought two bottles of same batch and one was fantastic, next was below acerage.

I drink mostly rye, Sazerac is my favorite but Basil Dark Rye is getting close.

Ok, Ok....

Elijah Craig... tastes good and is cheap. I fill my golf flask with it (speaking of which, I need to buy another bottle).

I like the Four Roses too Single Barrel too. Don't think I've tried the small batch.

Woodford reserve is pretty good too, when it comes to cheap, I usually buy Elijah Craig.

Don't really buy expensive bourbons anymore... at higher price points, I prefer scotch.

Haven't seen any Elmer T in a couple of years. After draining 2 bottles, I still couldn't decide how good it was. I was a bourbon fan when there were only a few bourbons around. Back then Walker's Deluxe was my favorite and when cash was scarce I would drink Heaven Hill. I don't find the current large selection of bourbon to be good enough to justify the price. I have tried several of the newer brands and so far have not found one other than Elmer T that was worth buying again. Some of the older stuff around is rot gut crap like 10 high, Old Crow, Old Grand Dad and others I can't remember. I swear back then that the youngest bourbon was 4 years old, but now I see 3 years is the low. Heaven Hill is not great, but it still has that old style bourbon taste and isn't bad at all with mixers.

Easy to get and not expensive and it is not over oaked from aging too long in barrels. Remember that the Mash Bill is more important than how long it has been aged. Depends on what you want to taste; the bourbon or the barrel. Bourbon doesn't and probably shouldn't be aged for longer than 10 to 15 years unless you like the oak taste. 🌫
