You need internet for any option, so you're paying for that out the gate. Then hulu, netflix, prime, youtube... by the time you got all the channels you want you damn near equal a cable bill and you're paying multiple entities.

Still... I'll consider canceling cable when my current deal ends. I don't use the phone... and only telemarketers call that number.

One thing I learned real quick from a different option is that DVR is important to us. Last night I had to sit through so many commercials when I wasn't used to it any more.... So whatever options you choose I would make sure you have a DVR involved.

After the current trial expires (just a couple days) I'm going to try YouTube tv... It has a DVR as part of the package and seems to have the channels I want. It's also 40$... But I was poking around the cheaper options, and after adding in DVR I either wouldn't get what I want, or it would be the same price.
