... do they exist? One was gifted to me (won’t say by whom) about 6 months ago. Can’t find any info about a 2017 EL, the stick itself looks a little iffy, and while it’s not a bad smoke, doesn’t have much of a CC profile.

I know, If it smokes like a duck...

So do you tell the person that gifted you the cigar that it’s a fake or keep quiet?

I have at least 3 fakes from a guy that only smokes Cubans and claims that the friend he gets them from knows what he’s doing. I don’t really have the heart to tell him....

Hmm, a buddy of mine up here tried to pass a practically brand new LGC off as a Cuban Cohiba......... I am afraid that I put him in his place. 😕
That was 2 months ago and he still won’t talk to me.......... oh well, his loss.

The finishing touch was that I had just picked up a 5 pack of LGC’s in the same Vitola, so I was able to show him first hand the exact same cigar. He’s pissed at me, I am guessing because I was able to tell the difference. As for the guy who gave it to him, let’s just say the line of expletives he used for the description of his buddy would make a sailor blush........
