Several days ago, I put a bid in for five "fiver" lots where there were 10 total available. Put in the starting bid and my maximum.

I was the first person to bid and, for several days, was the ONLY person who had a bid.

Now, others have bid and, although it has not reached my maximum bid price yet, i am THIRD on the list of 5 bidders, with someone who has bid on one lot and someone who has bid on two lots "ahead" of me on the list, such that, if the bids go high enough- but do not take up all 10 at a bid higher than my max - I would lose some or all of my lots BEFORE these other bidders, even if our maximum bids were the same.

In other words, if someone came in and bid on 7 of the lots at a price higher than our maximum bids, the way the rankings are right now, I would get none of the lots and the the two people who bid AFTER me would get theirs.

Way not fair. I was the first bidder and as long as my high bid is high enough, I should not lose a "tie" to people who bid after me

Now I am, not talking about a situation where these other people have a higher maximum bid than me and the bids go that high so I fairly lose, I am talking about where there are lots that eventually sell at or below the maximum I put in. In that case, since I was first, I should get my lots before the later bidders regardless of what their (never needed) maximum might have been.

Now I have a headache.

😁

I haven't bid on anything in a while, but when I do, I just let it ride and see what happens. I don't go back and analyze it.... but that's just me.

Hey Don,

I had a chance to look into your request. Your bid was not the first bid on this auction. There were 3 earlier bidders on this lot before your bid came in. Also, the listing of bidders, is not in any sort of order.

Thanks,

Shana

Something is wrong then. I was the first bidder of 5 of the 10 lots at the $2 starting price and there were NO other bidders for several days. I did not win any of the lots even though several of the lots were won by others at my maximum bid price.

Again, you were not the first bidder.

The first bidder (cust a) was outbid.
The 2nd bidder (cust b) was in before your bid and won at their max bid, the same max bid as your's but they were in 2nd, thus winning.
The 3rd bidder (cust c) was in before your bid and won at their max bid, the same situation as the 2nd bidder.
The 4th bidder (you cust d) was outbid at your max.
Various other bidders won at higher bids.

Thanks!

For two days I was shown on the bid page as the only bidder winning 5 lots at $2, then other people's bids starting showing up. Are you saying you cannot rely on the website to accurately show how many bids there have been?

Anyone else find it super suspicious that the 3 other bidders on this lot just so happen to be named cust a, cust b, and cust c?

🤔 Curiouser and curiouser...

I don't recall saying that...

Are you using plugins? What browser are you using?

You stated for two days it showed you as the only bidder, then it showed you as THIRD on the list of 5 bidders.

Cust a came in on 1/3/19, cust b came in at 1/4/19, cust c came in on 1/4/19 and your bid did not come in until 1/5/19.

It's as if, your system is not refreshing or auto-refreshing. Do you have multiple windows open?

Ask Mr. Jones. He should know for sure! and the fact that Drafter is in the mix makes it extra suspicious.

I tend to recall a time not too long ago when the os for cbid was going crazy and very inconsistent to say the least, and then the delivery fiasco incurred....I am just saying I would tend to believe midmofan more than the software that has a faulty track record at this point.

All I can say is my bid went in on the 5th and on both phone and desktop no bids, other than mine, showed until the 7th when the others popped up.

Way back in the still early days of the new bid program I experienced strange inactivity on one of my bids that I ended up winning. Never liked the new programming and swear at it every time I have to log in to the forum - haven't bid on anything in quite a while.
