worked out the deal Thursday, yesterday was last day...

not everyone here is or should be in on the events in my life over the last 16 months, but I have been tested mightily. So weird to say this but you imbeciles have provided a source of therapy, and work was another, until the last couple of months.

no one's fault, but I needed an end plan for my health and sanity. I had been VERY close friends with the owner for 30 years before he asked me to come help him grow his business 22 and a half years ago. and when we sat down Thursday, I was once again facing my friend I first met in 7th grade and knew it would end well.

He insisted on a very generous severance package (heh heh, Frank said package) and when I protested he said I had to allow him to thank me for being an integral part of his success...so I said "okey dokey" And he said I could stay as long as I wanted to, but he would also understand if I wanted to go that minute (we were both crying like babies).

So Friday became the day. Nice send off by co-workers and many calls and emails from customers...I'm actually going in for a couple of hours here and there next week to make sure all of my promises are completed...and I immediately started to conceive of a plan to offer as a vendor that I know would be beneficial to the company, and I would absolutely love to do as well!

So to my friends here whom I have met, and the friends I have yet to meet...thank you for helping me cope, whether or not you were aware of your roles.
