Many of the once great independents have been bought up by the big corporations. The ones that are left alone to operate without interference can continue to make good beers. But the bean counters usually interfere sooner or later.

I also don't consider sam adams in the same bucket as BMC

Not really a fan of Sam Adams, either... and Dogfish Head makes a lot of hoppy beers, which I also don't care for.

Their Palo Santo Marron is fn good, though.

And in related news... Schick bought out Harry's to eliminate one of the up and coming competitors in the razor market.

Wonder if Gillette is looking at Dollar shave club, now?

Im not a hophead either. I don't care much for stone as well.

In fairness though I've not drank any real beer since the lymphoma. Limited to mich ultra due to carbs. bluch. But I can drink whisky and red wine

Would agree. Have you seen any of the Palo Santo Marron recently in your area. None to be found on the gulf coast in the past 12 plus months.

Maybe a distributor thing. The same distributor covers lower AL and the FL panhandle and there may lie the problem since the Palo Santo Marron is a year round offering.

May just have to give them a call.

I've got about 3 left, myself. I was planning to go at 55, but it's looking more like 53 is very doable. If I have to get a part time job, it'll be worth it to leave CA.
