Too hot or too cold? Cigar storage question

My wife will only allow me to keep my big ugly coolador in our second floor closet or in our basement. Temperature in our basement is pretty constant around 63F and our second floor closet varies from 65F to 80F. I know the preferred storage temp is 70, but should I go with the cold basement or the hot second floor?

This is tough. If you let them towards 80, you may as well say goodbye. 63 is too low. What is the humidity inside of the coolador?

^^^ I agree, 67F should be fine. That's the approximate temp mine are at with a RH at 68.

Nothing wrong with 63F. May not age as much as 65-70 degrees but won't hurt anything. I keep some of my stash in the large Vinotemp with wine stored at 55.

Cold is FINE.

Hot can hatch beetle larvae.

Also sorry about your balls, but your wife something nice and shiny and beg for them back.
