Obviously the Raptors deserve to be there, but it sure would have been better if both teams were at full strength.

Not having KD playing is making it easier on them.

Lots of reasons good bad and indifferent that people have lost interest. I think it’s too bad as the NBA has never had this many stars in the league it’s pretty impressive.

Kuwai is a man child out there.....wish KD was healthy as he would be negating Ibaka and Siakam. I’m kind of perplexed with Draymond’s shooting which seems to have gone to pot. I think we’re seeing the toll the western conference has taken on GSW compared to the path the Raptors had outside the Bucks. I’ve been working so much I haven’t gotten to watch one single game.

Nick nurse was playing for my school while I was an undergrad. Kurt Warner was on the bench but that was a couple years later I think.

Now Nick is hangin with Canadian wrappers and stuff.

I think that the Raptors had a much tougher time getting tot he finals than the Warriors imo. The west was not as strong as people perceive it to be. Lebron is gone but I think the east got better without him. I thought the Raptors would steal 1 game because Kawhi is just that good, but this is the perfect storm for Toronto. Injuries and great play are making them look like the best team this series!

Injuries are part of the game. I doubt anyone except Raptor fans thought they would be here.

this is the most enlightened league of all. They have tapped into the World marketplace like no other (soccer isn't big enough yet here to count).

Their players just might have the lowest percentage of drug test failures, in game brawls, off the court garbage, domestic violence...I may be wrong but can't recall much trouble in years.
Part of the reason is the players are actually partners in the league's success,
nothing like having an equity stake to keep crap from ruining things. The calls to rein in the players is saying for the owners to clamp down...I think that is backfiring in the popularity of other sports that dominate players and contracts.

It's not Durant's absence, they are playing tremendous defense and catching a team that has had a glorious run and is just a step past peak.

It's not over, LeBron beat a younger Warriors team a few years ago down 3-1 (am I correct?).
And if G.S. can force a game 7, will make this year even greater.

Too bad the Celts banked on Kyrie to step up like the modest superstar Leonard has done. This may have been the year to end the Warriors' reign.

I disagree. It IS Durant's absence. Toronto hasn't blown them out, they've just done enough to win each game... against an injured team without its best player.

If ifs and buts were cake and nuts .....

I think golden state is tired. The number of playoff games they’ve played over the last several years took their toll. Maybe no blowouts, and typical NBA finishes but the tank seems empty to me. The raptors have that next gear.

And I do not think Durant would tip the scale. How much of his injury is the result of the grind anyway. It’s not as if he would be 100% anyway given all of the above.

All that aside GS can still win this if they dig deep. That’s what true champions do.

Durant would shut down Saikem. Period. So outside Kawhi you have Green and Lowery scoring which isn’t that scary.
