I use xikar fluid the ssg cant pick this stuff up in there microwave scans so it might work good for you Jonesy

Zippo butane is water. Xikar is better.

The rockwell lighter is even worse. Cheap crap. I threw mine away after it didn't perform like it should. Very choppy flames and uneven light. Just plain messy. Upgraded to all Xikar and Colibri lighters.

I've had the best luck with Vector butane.

I've tried King, xikar and Zippo. Vector same price but has served me better

Hash is more of a manual screening and pressing.

Yes, Rockwell is garbage.

THE single flame Rockwells are par at best...
The QUAD Rockwell are decent but the bottom fly wheels
allways fall off somewhere...when you find them you think ..." What the fuuuuuk is this thing ..." And chuck it in the trash...then you find the lighter and the bottom is missing...

I get the rockwell quads for $2-4?
You can't buy scriptos or bic lighters for that price and they are light years better than scripto or BIC...

I have boxes from old orders of tons of "merch" I haven't opened or used yet...couldn't pass up on a great deal back in the "golden era of cbid auctions"...
Prolly have 25 + unopened- unused lighters...mostly cheapies though...3 tabletops and at least 8-10 MORETTI quads.

I bought a couple cases of Power 5X refined bout 10 years ago on sale,under $4 per 5.8oz can shipping included.Best purchase I ever made.I have $3 Ronson Jetlites that last 5 years plus...…...no need to buy expensive lighters that disappoint.

$19.xx for something that lasts the rest of your life (instant new replacements for any reason, forever), and certainly doesn't disappoint (I have 4 of them, no problems so far!). Superior capacity, superior fuel viewing and two flames not one.

That's the better deal, IMO!

However, it's hard to argue with a reliable $3 single torch that lasts 5+ years. It's an excellent option too.

Is the warranty still good if you lose the lighter?

It is not! That's a point in favor of the low-rent, cheapskate, government cheese $3 Ronson lighter!

However, losing the Ronson can cause it to last signficantly less than the 5-year benchmark. So, not as big an advantage after all.

Choose wisely, gentlemen!

Just to make things more complicated, there's also a Xikar Tech single-jet version that's great too, and may be preferred by some. When compared to the double-jet it uses butane at half the rate so the tank lasts twice as long, and it has a bit more precision and costs considerably less too. Has the same "giant tank", "easy instant fuel level visibility" and "easy to fill to 99%+ capacity" advantages as its double-jet brother.

I have the single flame Tech and love it! Like you said, big, easy to see tank and the Xikar lifetime warranty. With that being said, I use the Tech mainly for touch-ups and relights and prefer a triple flame Jetlite for initial lighting.

Xikar triple refined works best with torch lighters. It’s a little pricey, but I buy the 400ml can. It last’s a long time and your lighters will light every time. 💡
