But, for the first time since 8/2016 when our home flooded we are finally in a
home that is ours. So, moving won’t be as bad this time. Not to mention the fact that we have way less belongings to move.

Congrats! Don't use the house as an excuse to collect more things. Something to be said about having less.

Lived in the same house since 1986.......WAY too much stuff accumulated.

You’ve definitely had some challenges recently.

Post up a pic when you can.

I bought a freshly remodeled home. Move in ready. Though there will be an expansion in the near future. The master bath is smaller than the hall bath. I’m going to expand the bathroom about 12 feet into the back yard so I install a big soaking tub and build an oversized walk-in shower.

Had this women who works for me from time to time helping Cindy pack the trailer. Cindy caught her stealing the two Chips from my daughter’s two pairs of Chip and Dale. They mean so much to her. In fact, about 10 years ago she hurt herself and needed an X-ray. The technical X-ray‘d Chip and Dale first to show her it wouldn’t hurt. She had that X-ray hanging on the wall in her bedroom, but it was ruined by the flood.

As she was leaving she was hollering that I just looking for a reason not to pay her.

that really sux...girl prolly didn't realize she'd be much better off working hard for you, in the long run, than a short term "prize"

Yea, but it was expected. I knew I had to replace it before it gets cool because the heater is shot. Was hoping to coax it a month or so. I hate parting with $8,000.

Crazy how the insurance companies are about roofs. If you have 15 years on a 20 year roof, they say replace it now or we won't insure you

We had a toilet feed line that froze about 10 years ago. When it thawed it leaked water in an upstairs bathroom. Filed a claim. The adjuster came out. About a week later I received a letter from the insurance company stating I’d been dropped because my roof appeared to be too old.

Before I received a check I had a new policy.
