It's a Corvette.
The architecture is there, but it'll be tuned for middle aged golfing white dudes who never track it. I.e. great street handling. But not so great on track without upgrades, then it's superb.
They've always done that balance very well. You can't have both, but they get it right in the middle.
Vettes, at least since the C5, (and maybe the C4 considering the competition in that era) have always done well as a real sports car. Take it to a track day, or take it to a car meet. Does both well. But with stock pickups, an aftermarket suspension setup can turn it into a beast on track.
