Wasn't bad enough the grandkids tried to burn down a tree near our home in 2016 via roman candles in July. After I lit up a stand of shop lights to save the tree so they'd move up the street, next morning found a smoke trail across the Mustang and a busted windshield. Couldn't definitively prove who had done it, partially as I was just starting to lose sight in one eye after an errant diagnosis (thanks, doc) but called the cops to document and hopefully avoid a repeat. 3 years later, the a$$hole who hosted them still hasn't refunded my $250 deductible on the insurance claim. Now I hear guests over there, long weekend coming up. Lots of people vacation on this island, and this will be a busy weekend.

*sigh* And just about the time the 12 gauge needs cleaning. And doggone it, I can't see well enough to do that indoors, so I'm going to have to make sure I can get some good daylight, out on the porch. Total coincidence, of course. Don't want to alarm anyone.

Of course, don't try this at home. Nor anywhere else.

Don't end up on the TV show: Fear Thy Neighbor

So should we red flag you now or wait? 😳

Wouldn't an attorney advise that this post might be called, evidence? 😰

Yeah, well, I wouldn't do anything illegal and talk about it...before or after the fact. Just, you know, these things need proper treatment to function.

The red flags on me would have gone up years ago. Now I prefer the more SBD mode. Maybe I'm just older, can't run, etc., but I've seen the inside of jails as part of my previous work. They are bad enough when you don't have dietary issues. With my food issues, not going to chance it. Last I heard, the local jail dealt with dinner time with one guy with multiple food allergies by going to the local store and getting the guy like an apple and a head of lettuce. My wife's rabbits might be OK on that, but not me.

Just take a deep breath, remember they aren't going to be there all year, and...God help them if they try to break into the house, however. "Come get your kid...and bring a bucket."

:)P~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

But, no, nobody needs to call law enforcement. I vent, get over it, move on. I'm harmless. I'm also about twice the age of these losers who can't understand why they can't get a date (been married to Mrs. Pacman 24 years).

Sorry...just now realizing I was having an allergic reaction to something. Turns out that not every meat product claiming to be free of antibiotics is actually clean of them. Your reply made me realize that this kind of venting is a terrible idea nowadays, with all of the crap we've had going on in this country. I'd delete the entire thread, but I'm afraid that would worry anyone who saw it.

I was only venting. Poor choice of way to do so. I'm not taking any firearms out anywhere (in Washington, simply displaying them in a manner that reasonably causes fear in another person they are about to be harmed is, in an of itself, a serious felony-level assault). I won't repeat this kind of venting again. Just wasn't thinking clearly...nor intelligently. No one is in danger of anything other than an occasional slightly abusive post from me.

You know, I could camp on your lawn and run incursion gorilla ops all weekend for the right price.

LOL. I recognize the singer. There used to be a DJ on Seattle rock radio (may still be, I quit FM years ago b/c of the repeats and commercials, then got sick of XM, so I just rely on my growing tunes collections, a few online sites, and a couple MP3 players for driving). Also digging Pandora, but just at home.

Anyway, the DJ is Bob Rivers. He had/has a side kick who goes by the name Spike. Spike actually tours local small venues, I believe as a cover band gig, with the band name Spike and the Impalers. Spike and Bob did a bunch of what they call Twisted Tunes, and I'm 99% sure that is one of them.

Make that 100%. These guys actually do some pretty funny stuff. I remember "Winter Wonderland" became "Walking 'Round in Women's Underwear", for example. They're part goof ala Weird Al, and they also do some songs that just have local or news-related themes. This link takes you to the song, and you can find more on the site.

BTW, they are VERY politically incorrect, so the sensitive need not tune in. Cats in the Kettle is an example.

Hey, when it needs cleaning, it needs cleaning. And if the light is better pointing off the porch, so be it. Somethin happens, it's not your fault. You're only human, for godsake...

#10 I got that. I was more afraid of who else might read it, not know I have a twisted sense of humor (even by the standards of these boards...well, maybe right in line with them), then panic. Cops already responded to the house one time when I forgot the damned alarm code. When you've worked in the same county for several years as a criminal defense attorney and have an encounter with cops you know, things can be funny...or really awkward (the alarm one was more funny, but still awkward).

#11 I'm here, your honor. Mr. Izonfire, my attorney, should be here any minute.
