Because one of the ways our increasingly worthless dollar avoids becoming toilet paper is the fact that Saudi Arabia sells oil in US dollars.

Depends, you want to pay 4 bucks a gallon, but feel good about our non intervention? You want cheaper gas and are willing to sacrifice American lives to get it? Rough questions, but about what it comes down to. Prolly dropping tactical nukes on the Iranian government, Ayatollahs, and Mullahs would be a valid consideration. But again a rough decision. Also, what would the political fallout in the middle east be. Since we are a net positive oil producing nation F em. I could live with higher gas prices, no dependence on middle east oil, and letting them rot. But then what would happen to Israel? And should we care? I think we should. The glass reflection from outer space would be cool.
