Does anyone know why Cigar Bid does not include Humidification when they send out their packages? I have received on a number of occasion cigars that are on the Dry Side. I have ordered from a number of online stores and they have all came with Boveda or some other form of humidification device. I LOVE CIGARBID!!!!!!!!

May not can afford to? (Assumption, not sure)

The premium cigars you are winning are already at maybe half price or less. (Most cases)

They are losing money most of the time. The way they break even or get a profit is volume, not quality.

I've got a few random Humi-Care humidified fivers b4 I became a Platinum™ member. Now everything is humidified. Guess they send you some at first to get a taste of Platinum™ membership.

It's been a few years since I've been there, but they have an enormous warehouse. Back when I was there, they seemed to set the humidity just a hair higher than I personally care for, the theory (IIRC) being that the smokes dry out a bit on the way to the customer.

Since I live out near the edge of the world (north of Seattle), and it some times takes several years, er, days, for shipments to reach me, I'd be among those most likely to receive dried-out smokes. Hasn't happened very often, and when it has, customer service has shipped replacements. Best in any event to let your smokes sit for a few days, acclimate to your environment, and then smoke them. If they are still dry and you need a replacement, you can update us with your second post ever and tell us how CS handled the matter.

🤫 Us aluminum membership types aren't supposed to use the P word

My understanding, as Pac mentioned, is that a lot of online retailers overhumidify to help keep from drying out during shipping, which would make the packets a moot point. So yeah, best to acclimate upon receipt, but patience is so difficult

#12 If it's within the laws of physics and not illegal, you can pretty much get anything with enough money. Seriously, the time I was there, I believe they had moved to a bigger warehouse. Probably just because of what I was ordering at the time. They didn't seem to have any trouble humidifying it. The main store impressed me even more on that scale. I was wondering how the heck they kept the A/C running with good ventilation during the day, when all of the cigars were right out in the same area (lounge in the back, but open room). On closing, they switched over, and you could see huge clouds of humidity rolling in like a Seattle January fog. Pretty cool, and impressive. Whatever else you want to think about CI/Cbid, they don't seem to have trouble with humidification as a rule. They do, however, undoubtedly get cigars in from various manufacturers and distributors in various stages of dampness/dryness, and once they get shipped, those smokes are in the care of the delivery businesses.

Since Trish is gone: Absolutely. Helps to grease a few palms. Handing out a lot of money helps, too. I think you have to spend $20,000 to achieve that status. Took me nearly a whole year to get there myself. Then, you have to be invited, spend at least $10,000 a year to keep it, etc. Sort of like an AmEx black card.
