just got a text...he's stuck in the Swamps of Jersey (da Meadowlands) at the Pats/Jets game, um contest, um snoozefest?
No one deserves this punishment.

prayers sent for a safe return, Joe.

At least something good came out of the meadowlands.😂
If he still isn’t found by the next Giants game, I’ll look for him.

Maybe he stayed behind to look for Jimmy Hoffa.

I don't know what you call that, but it wasn't a football game.

Patriots' defense has best numbers in NFL...but we will see how good it is when they finally play a decent offense...

It was almost 70 degrees and not a cloud in the sky for the tailgate.
We got there when gates opened at 3:15 and were able to get front and center on the walkway. Perfect place to pop the EZ-UP and watch the freak show that IS NY Jets fanbase.

Naked Cowboy (from Times Square) made an appearance.
As did a pseudo church choir singing about some "Sports Equinox" coming next Sunday.

Teamed up with a group from Montreal and then a group from Germany, and eventually brought everyone together for a fantastic group photo outside the Met. I spent half hour at the hotel post game just emailing photos.

We had a spicy chili, some jalapeno poppers wrapped in bacon, pulled pork and marinated steak tips to enjoy with a bevy of craft brews.

And I know the game must have looked boring on TV, but it's fun planting your teams flag center field during an away game, and that's just what the Pats did. The Met is now OUR House, and the local faithful didn't have the heart to disagree.

So yeah. Poor Tailgater. I'm exhausted.

Like last year's Rams?

tailgater wrote:

yes...and no...

Rams offense was very good last year, even during the playoffs, but were not prepared to adjust to the Pat's defensive schemes...

that being said, the Rams offense at the time of the Super Bowl was missing two major contributors from their best midseason form: Cooper Kupp blew out a knee and Todd Gurley was hiding an injury...

regardless...this year's Pats' defense looks especially stout, and is the best...if I played fantasy football, that's the D I'd want...

Missed you, although I thought you were making a cameo appearance.
While waiting to get into the lots, some ugly dude in a convertible was smoking a fine cigar.
He was alone and wasn't wearing Jets gear.
Do you have an ugly twin who is better looking than you? Coulda been him.

Nah, I am still in Myrtle Beach, no twin. At least he was smoking a good cigar.

Maybe we can hook up in Mass. or next year’s game.
