I've been smoking vitolas for over 30 years. Cheap cigars...expensive cigars.I must say the Cohiba Red Dot that I just received was definitely the worse cigar I have ever smoked. Loosely wrapped, burned terrible and worst of all it had absolutely no taste. What a disappointment.

I ran into this same issue once and after doing some research and talking with the guy who had them it was discovered that he had fakes. Other Cohiba Red Dot cigars I have had were well rolled, good taste and burned well. The only other thing might have been it was an uncared forcigar, treated badly and abused before it got to you. Just a thought.

Cohiba Red Dots are "meh", they're high-volume, mass-market Dominican cigars made by an enormous corporation that try to trick naive newbies into thinking they're related to the Cuban version, when they are not, at all.

Go get some AJ Fernandez cigars if you want excellent construction, perfect draw and rich, complex flavors (that get even better with age, too!). That man works in tobacco like the Masters worked in oil paints. And they're affordable, too!

You'll never bother with overpriced "meh" huge-corporation high-volume sticks like the Cohiba red dot ever again.

Nc cohibas are like the orange belt of cigar smoking... It's a step above gurkha, but only in principle...

Coincidence? Karma? I just fired up a Cohiba Red Dot “Extra Vigoroso” not five minutes before I saw this thread. It has to have been in one of my humis for at least ten years, and I forgot I had it. Decided to smoke it on a whim - and early on, it’s not too bad.

My humidor is filled with a J Fernandez been following him for years I like the diesel D6 although I'm going to try some of the 10th anniversary soon I like a strong spicy cigar not big on Cuban cigars I get them all the time from a cousin in Canada they were excellent before the Embargo in the 60s
