Hoping to be in the right area to introduce myself. Sixty year plus cigarette smoker (occasional cigar) with a recent heart attack/bypass surgery.

Told my cardiologist I miss a lot of things I can't do anymore but the two biggies are three fingers of good sour mash and smoking. I must have a lenient doc as he told me the bourbon is OK in moderation and to have a cigar!!

Question is, I entered an auction the other day for a five pack, saw the bids and bid a few dollars more. I also entered a maximum bid. Auction closed and there were several bids below my max that won, but I was charged the max amount. I was going on the assumption there would be an automatic bid up to my maximum if I was outbid. Evidently I was wrong, si o no?

Thanks,

Swabby

Call the number on top of the page. Don't message them. Don't email them. Don't listen to any of us. Call customer service.

Aloha from Hawaii! 👍

Shhhh, it’s a secret but my doctor also smokes cigars. 😰

Never really did ask him about drinking though...I’m sure having one drink a day / night would be okay.

Btw, thanks for the mini-intro. Tony from the PR Department will be along shortly to ask a few more detailed questions. :-"

I would be more than happy to answer your questions if you would first tell me the identities of Mairzy and Dozy Doats.

Never knew them too well. Lamzy Divey was a top notch individual though.

If you were the last winning bid the ones above you may be less. Not uncommon to have different winning bids on auctions with multiple lots. If you were last your bid increases first so one person bid causing yours to go up but the others stayed the same price if no other bids placed. Order of bid has importance if that makes sense. Welcome to the forum.
