I actually knew the man from his time here in the Illinois senate. I had met with and spoken with the man. He was smart, well spoken, but an empty suit. Not an original thought in his head. He would parrot back what you said to him, changing it up enough to express his "concern" and "comprehension" and "understanding", and then shuffle you out the door. The man was a classic post turtle.

Regardless of that fact, I would never have allowed anyone to say he whored his children out to get votes. Nor where his children fair game for political nonsense.

I think De Niro was awesome at the end of Joker. De Niro should do more roles that end like the one in Joker. I literally touched myself at the end.
