I am not sure how many of you are interested in pipe smoking but this was something I turned to for more "dessert" flavors that most flavored cigars fail to provide. I am not going to name brands or the cigars I have tried but from personal experience and from reactions of other cigar smokers people just go "ugh" on the topic of flavored cigars.
Again, without naming names most "flavored" cigars just go with a sweetened tip and that just isn't going to cut it for most. This is when I learned to love pipe smoking.
The reason why I gave up on flavored cigars in favor of pipe smoking is you are going to get the flavor for the entire smoke and not just bland tobacco flavor behind a sweetend tip. This is assuming you go with a flavored tobacco in which case I will name at least one name below.
Finally, I will apologize in advance if this was covered in another thread. I just felt inspired to make this post after mentioning my enjoyment of pipes in another thread. With that said, let's move on to the part of the topic that makes me look like a cigarbid shill.
https://www.cigarbid.com/a/casillero-pipe-w-bag/3289162/ This is the first (and probably only) pipe I ever got and I love it. It has everything you need to get started other than the tobacco itself and a lighter. I use it 1-2 times a week and it has been great.
https://www.cigarbid.com/a/cult-blood-red-moon/3286566/ This one I kind of don't want to mention since people might start outbidding me but the description for this is pretty spot on. Very good by itself but I blend it with another Black Cavendish to "make it last". If the description does not appeal to you then I would recommend something else but I highlight this one to get flavors I simply cannot get in a cigar and I am partial to Black Cavendish.
The next two are not necessary but are my personal preference for lighting and resting my pipe while smoking.
https://www.cigarbid.com/a/colibri-firebird-sidewinder-camo-lighter/3289392/ I originally bought this to switch away from my zippo for cigarette smoking. Zippos are a fine product but lighter fluid is just not good for cigars or pipes. As far as camo? I didn't really care about paint job, get whatever you can. It is a good single torch considering it's cheap and you can aim it down into a pipe. It is also a great touch up lighter for cigars not burning perfectly.
https://www.cigarbid.com/a/peterson-black-ceramic-pipe-stand/3403117/ I am going to be honest here. I almost didn't buy this but I wanted something purpose built for putting my pipe down when I had to take a piss and didn't want to bring a lit pipe into the house. This is the most optional of accessories so feel free to ignore it. The above mentioned Casillero will lean to one side in this stand but it works perfectly fine to set your lit pipe down for a minute or two.
If I sound like a cigarbid shill in the end so be it. The products I showed here are ones I see up for bid frequently and ones that tempted me for quite some time before I started pipe smoking which means you can grab these at least once a week if you should choose to get into the world of pipe smoking.
