Another in Police custody....

Mike Reiss
ESPN Staff Writer

New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman was arrested Saturday night in Beverly Hills, California, and cited for misdemeanor vandalism, according to police.

Edelman, 33, jumped on the hood of a vehicle on Saturday at approximately 9 p.m. PT, causing damage, police said. After the arrest, he was later released by police. In a statement, police said that Edelman is scheduled to appear at Airport Courthouse on April 13.

Edelman is from Redwood City, California.

Edelman, who was named Most Valuable Player in Super Bowl LIII, was the Patriots' leading receiver in 2019 with 100 receptions for 1,117 yards and six touchdowns.

He had played through shoulder and knee injuries and was recently named the team's 2019 Ed Block Courage Award recipient.

the Flying Squirrel got hops!

cuffed him, put him in the cruiser, wrote a citation and let him go.
Sure sounds pretty stupid. He's supposed to be having two surgeries this off season.

Local story last night showed he was at dinner with former Patriot Danny Amendola and Celtic great Paul Pierce.

I see what ya did there...

He's getting honored on March 28 with one member of all the other teams for being awarded as winners of the 2019 Ed Block Courage Award...

don't think they'd have released him from the cruiser if he was drunk and behaving that way. Wrote a citation for a misdemeanor and let him out of the car...hope he wasn't drunk.
