I'm kinda new at this, so please be kind.It is my understanding that cigars purchased from reputable local cigars stores have been properly aged and they can be smoked immediately. What about cigars bought on CigarBid? Can they be smoked immediately, or do they need to be aged? Thanks.

As a side note...in 20 years of getting cigars here,I have never frozen them...never had a single beetle. I have also smoked many mere days after receiving a shipment and can count on one hand the total issues I have ever experienced from here. The only place I have ever had to deal with over humidified cigars was from junior's place.

Only time I got beetles was from a noob trade thread on another forum. The cigars were absolutely destroyed by the bugs, carelessly thrown in a bubble wrap envelope to mail, and they went directly into the burn pile. Sender got a ban after I shared pictures. Otherwise, I typically wait a month or so to try anything. Just toss in my humidor and let em acclimate to my preferences. Shpo or online, same game. Actually my shpo tends to be much wetter than what I get from cbid. Depends on foot traffic though. Top row of some boxes on a winter weekend with heavy traffic in/out of the walk in can be nearly smokable

Welcome to cbid bud, is that mighty 1, or mite1, for your handle? Either way, watch out for the silver backs around here. They get grumpy. 🤣😂🤣 Other than that, enjoy the forum and may the best bidder win!

So I'm guessing the reason some people put their Cigarbid cigars in the freezer for a few days is to kill the beetle larva.
Thanks for the warning.🇨🇮 So I'm guessing the reason some people put their Cigarbid cigars in the freezer for a few days is to kill the beetle larva.
eggs.if you have larvae in there, you're already too late. And it takes considerably longer than 2-3 days in a residential freezer to render the eggs non-viable.
