We have done most of the move ourselves. Not so much fun. Haven’t had time for a cigar or getting on here. Can’t wait until this move is complete and we are settled in.

I was very fortunate in my Navy career. I moved from the Philippines to San Diego, then from San Diego to Temecula. My son went to one elementary school in San Diego, then middle and high school in Temecula.

San Diego is such a big area for the Navy with bases in Fallbrook, 32nd street, Point Loma, Coronado, Imperial Beach, Seal Beach, etc... if you want to "homestead", you can. I did so my wife and kid would have a stable life.

I hate to move. We bought our first and only home 32-1/2 years ago. Major renovations almost 4 years ago, was almost like moving.

Thursday we have the burly men coming to move all the big stuff. Friday to tidy up the rest of the house. Then on Saturday, she will be officially up for sale. It would be awesome if we get somewhere close to what the realtor wants to list it for.

Hoping to take the money we make on the sale and put in a pool and small outdoor entertainment area (aka David’s cigar smoking/football watching area😀).

Right now, all I can think about is getting done.

Dave, I hope things went well and that you are getting settled in. We where blessed with being able to move over several months while the house was on the market. Did the whole thing with my pickup and 16' cargo trailer. My wife and I loaded and unloaded the entire contents of the house. I bought one of those 2 person cargo carrier straps. It's amazing how much weight 2 people can lift with one of them.
