I bid on some free fall stuffs. And Noticed that closer to the close times, the prices dropped even lower than I was tracking. Is this a legit thing, or have I not tracked enough to figure out there is no logic to it? I'm just trying to get the most bang for my buck. Any info you guys could share would be appreciated.

It's been years since I've bid, but there used to be a few online trackers that would post the lowest seen price.

But dropping lower closer to close would make sense to me. They want to move the items, if they've not been locked in yet, keep dropping till they move.

Your logic makes sense to me. I guess I will have to be more vigilant of how these things fall.
Hopefully, someone will have unlocked the DaVinci code on this, since I am most comfortable knowing what I will spend.
Although the reward of a any win is a good one. I just hope my wallet can handle the strain my eyes are putting on it. LOL

Just be very cognizant that the closer to the close times, you get closer and closer, and closer yet. Sure, you wanna get very close. Even really close. Fucque. Extremely close, if you got the balls like BenWa. But beware. Don’t get too close.

You just may lose yourself.
Perhaps you already have...

Sit through 3-4 cycles to see the bottom, make sure you hit buy before it goes back up to the top.

It ain’t rocket surgery.

Clearly you’re Not The One............the noob who will lead us all to cigar nirvana.

FF changed with the site overhaul a few years back.
It’s simple.........so pay attention......cause I rarely give smelly noobs the time of day.

The “drop” (the amount the price drops from its starting point to the reset) is the SAME, every time, UNLESS someone clicks Buy BEFORE the reset, at which point it will reset again.
The Start price is what changes each time, which in turn, changes the reset.

The amount that a particular item drops depends on the item. Crappy cigars will drop quite a bit, better ones less.
So, note your item’s start price......let’s say $77.45
Note the reset........let’s say $51.45.
Now you know the drop will be $26.
Now all you have to watch is the start price............using the example above, if it starts at 79.66........you’re not interested.
If it starts at $71,20....... that is one you’ll want to jot down as a potential lowest start price, which will translate to the lowest reset.
You need to watch at least 10 or more to be sure you’ll find the lowest price.

Kingof theCove...

Amazing knowledge, I will have to apply that to my next buy.
Thank you for giving me the time of day, Wise Sage!

This may have been the case, but it is no longer true :(
I just did the experiment...

Seems like now the lowest price is always the same. I just wait for it and make a mental note, then buy the next time it hits that low.

I just checked 5 different lots, and things are the same as they have been for years.
The drop stays the same.
Now if someone clicks “Buy” BEFORE the lowest reset, well yes, then it will reset without getting to that lowest point, but that rarely happens unless stupid impatient noobs have twitchy fingers.

Wrong again…..

The reset and start price change.
As noted above, if someone buys before the bottom reset hits, well then it will reset instantly.

Noobs just aren’t as smart as they used to be I suppose…..
