For those not aware of cancel culture... When you're caught doing something the Woke police feel is unacceptable, they cancel you, i.e. they cancel your right to exist within social media...

It starts with an accusation against you, followed by a widely broadcast cancellation party...

I'd say something like "look at this racist post by drafter" and I'd link to something drafter said that can appear racist...

Then I say something like "ok Twitter do your thing"....

Then the hashtags #canceldrafter and #drafterisoverparty would circulate heavily within my circle of friends on IG, Twitter, etc, and one by one he would be blocked by everyone he knew across all platforms... He can't even watch our YouTube videos anymore... And if any of us catches any of you not tweeting, your party is next, the Ghanaian pallbearers come for you...

Anyway, Taco Bell is cancelled this morning... They fired an employee for wearing a mask with a political statement on it... It is a popular political statement, one that the loudest group of people seem to really support at the moment, so any move against it results in your swift "cancellation"... Just a corporation, not a person, so no big deal...

Remember that guy who wouldn't bake a gay cake and a lot of people were like **** that guy for not doing what the masses said he should?

Are your IG, Twitter friends 12?

I have heard of "cancel culture", I've seen the hashtags, but I have never heard of people "cancelling" their own friend group.

You're old af... You heard of cancel culture for the first time when you just read about it in my post...

The only time you use the word hashtag is when you accidentally order them from the waitress at the dennys...

I know, someone like you who grew up in the era where the colorization of television was considered controversial will have a difficult time understanding what it is to be cancelled, but just imagine it's very similar to what happens to a dog when you adopt him; food doesn't taste as good, the tail doesn't wag as much, and 99% of life is in the rear view, not the windshield...

All that is just a distraction from the real problem which is drafter

It's kinda their business and they kinda have a right to run it as they see fit (within existing laws). If they establish a dress code, you kinda have to abide by it. If it includes no political statements, then that's the rule. If you don't agree with it, then you don't work there. If they get backlash as a result of their dress code they either live with the consequences or change it depending on how they want to run their business.

It's really pretty simple.

Many things with the word black and the color black can be considered and have been considered racist and derogatory. Blackmail, blackball, etc.

I'm pretty sure neither of those items have any racist origins. That's like the UW student who complained of the professors use of the word niggardly.

It was facebook.

In a strange twist of fate, Facebook sold 88 ad spots (88 apparently being a pro-neonazi number, as it represents H H, or Heil Hitler.... I guess it's big in prison tattoos) for a Trump ad which used an upside down red triangle as a reference to Antifa. Now, also super strange twist of fate, the upside-down triangle was apparently a Nazi code. Different colors for different types of subversives the party was trying to go after... and super coincidentally the red upside down triangle was code for political subversives.
