why? who knows, but my guess is that this is another Trump/GOP falsehood that has paid some election dividends in the past...quite a few GOP congressional candidates, including Cruz and McSally, ran and won on the promise of protecting pre-existing conditions, and yet supported every legislative effort to end Obamacare...
