Any standouts in his lineup?

I used to love the old LGCs, and I have seen the rating successes of some of the EPC smokes, but not sure if any are better than others or of they all are so-so now. I just don't really hear much chit chat about them, so they either suck or they are great and no one wants to give up the goods.

Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

I've enjoyed the following
Dark Rituals - the OR with the Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper.
Seleccion Oscuro - features a Mexican San Andres Oscuro wrapper
Elencos - the OR with the Brazilian Habano wrapper

I usually smoke a robusto-size vitola. Not a big fan of the larger ring sizes.

I've never tried anything from him that wasn't garbage.

I'm still working my way through the ton of Cardinals that I got on CB. LaHistoria is good. El Rico Habano (made by EPCarillo) has been a favorite for many years, but the supply comes & goes. Robert in TN

His original Short Run was one of the best cigars I can remember. Went through many boxes of them and searched far and wide for them.
Some of the later releases were good but never compared to the O R.

which makes much better cigars, over-all, imho

besides the early Short Runs that DED posted about, the early Elencos, from about the same time period, were also super good...I think the Elites (toro size) were my fave...

they went on hiatus and re-appeared a couple years ago...supposedly the same blend....maybe so, but different years' crops
so they were not the same....disappointing...

The Don Rubino from about 10 years ago or so, was an excellent cigar.

some decent and fairly priced offerings from Black Works Studio, Fratello,

a little pricier is the MiCallef stuff

Crowned Heads, as mentioned above, have several lines that I keep on hand: Jericho Hill, Four Kicks, Headley Grange, Las Calaveras

Quotes at Cigars International for the Crowned Heads Four Kicks cigars.

"Crowned Heads Cigars is a boutique cigar manufacturer that has only been in existence for a short amount of time. However, under the supervision of E.P Carillo this brand has already gathered a following in the premium cigar industry."

"Crafted under the watchful eye of E.P. Carrillo in the Dominican, Four Kicks brings the substance in spades."
