I just ordered 5 Cohiba Macassar Toro Grande for 19.50, Mail order sites have them for 114 bucks , plus other great deals on Cohiba 5 packs all under 20 bucks . How can this be?

I personally feel the Cohibas are overpriced everywhere, so deals can be found on them.

Also with bidding sites sometimes things sell for below MSRP, because the "market" does not really like or agree with MSRP.

The Cohiba could also be a "loss leader" for cigarbid. Get you a great deal on Cohiba, then you will buy other stuff to spread out shipping cost over multiple items so you feel better about shipping. So those other items are not scrutinized as much as you did the Cohiba and you over pay on those.

I have heard that the "Mark up" for cigars is something like 50%, from distributor to retailer, and the retailer cannot get the product off the shelves at MSRP. so they less profit on the cigars to get the product off the shelves. Cohiba is a General Brand, and CigarBid is a General Brand so they are forced to sell General Cigars that do not sell well.

Just a few of my ramblings.

But any way you slice it they are real Cohibas, No way in hell General Cigar would allow one of their retail arms to sell a knock off of one of their products.

I see where they suck you in. I just wanted 3 bundles of 5 Cohibas and ended up with a bill over 200 bucks. 26.00 for shipping and taxes. I didn’t even realize I spent that much . I got some great deals but I don’t need 50 more cigars, so I tell myself to stay off the site for a couple months , don’t even look at it but that latest 2 days

To me, $ 4 a cigar is too much for NC Cohibas.
