My wife and I went to the CI store in Hamburg, PA and hung out last weekend. Ate overpriced food out of a Styrofoam container, smoked some good cigars, the wife drank. Me in a cigar store that big is like a kid in a candy store. Actually, worse because kids don't have credit cards. 🇨🇮 It was a nice time. We live in Philly, so it's not all that far. If you get the chance, check it out.

I know CBid is not CI. Pffff ✋

It is a real nice store. The Styrofoam is only due to covid, I try to get out there occasionally.

The bar is Slightly overpriced but where else can you smoke and drink in PA.

Frankj1 You got a bar at home that you smoke in. Cool. I'm saving up for a bar.

Lots and lots and LOTS of places, actually. Many of them also allow you to eat a full meal while you're drinking and smoking.

There are thousands of bars where you can smoke and drink simultaneously, and probably at least several hundred restaurant-and-bars where you can smoke, drink and eat a meal simultaneously, all thanks to exceptions built into current PA indoor smoking laws.

The bars that allow drinking and smoking (but not meals, just light food or no food) use a single simple exception (20% or less of gross revenue derived from food means you can allow smoking), while the restaurant-and-bars that allow drinking, smoking and eating a meal use a combination of several exceptions, if I recall right (separate bar and restaurant areas with full wall with self-closing weighted door between, separate external entrances and separate air handlers, then smoking is allowed in the bar area, and you just take and deliver meal orders to both areas).

I drink, eat meals and smoke cigars simultaneously at bars and restaurants all the time in PA. It's great! You just have to know which places allow it.

CI Hamburg serves alcohol but if I remember right the food is ordered from, and delivered by, an external vendor (Red Robin last I checked). This likely lets the Hamburg facility operate as a bar earning less than 20% of revenue from food (0% being less than 20%), which lets them allow smoking and serve alcohol, and again if I recall right, the law says nothing about food from an external separate vendor being delivered to a premises. Pretty clever!

Pudding,

Did you have to get a law degree to figure out those rules. I know they are not your rules, but what a crazy convoluted mess that sounds like.

PA alcohol laws will never be figured out. The store in Hamburg is one of my favorite places on earth. Good times. Robert in TN
