The more I see on this story, the more disgusted I am with how a system could allow a no-knock warrant to the potential girlfriends residence during a drug investigation.

this happened in Texas as well... but the victims were white...

Cops lied about a confidential informant who never existed buying heroin from a residence... that secured the warrant, cops kicked in the door and shot a couple to death...

Happens more frequently than most people know...

Yeah, it's pretty bad. No amount of $ can replace a life.

I live in Louisville and I just hope that they change things in our police department (that's been chit for a while). 🐴

No knock warrants should be banded nationwide IMO. I think bad outweighs the good on them. I'm surprised that more police officers aren't shot during these. 🌫

from my understanding, the big thing with no knocks is trying to avoid drug flushing... there's gotta be something that can be done other than kicking people's doors down at 3am...

The worst part is the taxpayers have to pay it. Not the police department. Zero actual repercussions to the police for poor decision making.

If I'm running a drug house and someone kicks the door in, ima open fire... if i know for fact it's cops kicking the door in, there's a slight chance I don't open fire because they would be the only people I'd expect to kick my door in and not murder me... i would assume anyone else who isn't the police is fixing to murder me right out the gate...

honestly... "no knock" entrances only sound safe if no one inside has any guns.
If you have the right house, they're gonna shoot because someone kicked down their door and they're criminals.
If you have the wrong house, and they have guns, they're gonna shoot because they have no reason to think the people kicking down their door are anything other than criminals.
