The social media thing is scary. I had to teach my kids about the dangers and how it can haunt you. My daughters Sorority even had classes on it.

Many MANY employers either do their own or hire out a social media search.

My daughter showed up for an interview for an internship and the first thing they did is open a file about her and asked her about some of her comments, friends and pictures. She got the position. When she was there another applicant got a position and posted on her Facebook page something to the extent of eff yea I got the effen job with so and so (or something like that) Next day they were informed they did not as a result.

It’s the world we live in.

Maybe I wasn’t clear. The other person posted that on their own page. The company was monitoring it. When their name appeared with profanity, even though it was excitement the other person lost the job. My daughter never met her because the other person never got to day 1.

The contractors I over see are required to monitor and control their social network platforms as well. I can’t talk much about it but we monitor how they monitor it lol.

It’s just a fact of life. Don’t look back you can never go back.

it's not news that KKK, Nazis, et al were never eradicated. Tons of reports for at least a decade of them "mainstreaming" by prepping candidates for Military education and service as well as entering Law Enforcement all over the U.S.
Changed tactics from cross burning, lynching, and other acts that were less than effective in recruiting for the cause.

Kidding aside, is this not very well known?
