In the end, voting for Marjorie Taylor Greene to be unable to be on a committee is a loss of freedom for the USA. I loathe her and what she stands for, and that is perfectly fine. Since she has done nothing criminal that I am aware of I think the House of Representatives betrayed the constitution today. Freedom of speech was lessened today.

Nope. She is woefully unfit to serve.

Her behavior has reasonably been interpreted as a threat to others.

Does she really belong on an education committee when she does not even believe in the Sandy Hook and Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School slaughters?

Robert,
She is loathesome, but what has she done that is criminal? I think the 1st amendment was violated today. Also a message was sent to her constituents today that their vote doesn't matter. As a human being she has no value, but that is not pertinent to what happened today. Maybe I am missing something but what was the legal basis for today. I know it can be done but believe doing it is more dangerous for us than she is.

Simple in my mind. I interpret some of her intentional remarks and behavior to be hate speech and some hate speech is not protected under the First.

(I took a class on freedom of speech in law school and loved it, but have forgotten most of what I learned. So, I recently bought a law book on freedom of speech to brush up. I think I need to pull it out for this one.)

You can't really think this? If we use your way of thinking about this then there are NO limits. You can say anything at all and "Meh, yeah it sucks but..." These are supposed to be the people who decide what's best for all of us and you're good with one of them believing in false flag school shootings? Fake Pentagon planes? Hangings for FBI agents that are part of the "Deep State" etc. etc. etc. It's not like she believes this stuff privately. She promotes it. This is the new normal for kids today who don't know any better. You have a problem with Trumps part in the Capital riots but, this is okay?

"A commenter asked Greene, "Now do we get to hang them ?? Meaning H & O ???," referring to Obama and Hillary Clinton.

Greene replied, "Stage is being set. Players are being put in place. We must be patient. This must be done perfectly or liberal judges would let them off." "

Protecting this crap is where you draw the line? Seriously?

No first ammendment violation. She basically got judged by her peers to be unfit to serve.

She's not going to prison for being stupid...

They are just committee assignments. Steve king had same happen to him by his own party when they had integrity for somethings he said.

Meh.

I’m just glad they didn’t try to expel her. She did get elected. She gets to serve. But that doesn’t mean committee assignments.

She is lying scum.

right.
committee assignments have nothing to do with morons electing her and nothing to do with stopping her from saying she believes in filthy things.

she has not been silenced.
But at least she and those who support her are being outed!

a list conjures up potential victims.

She's a proponent of some very ugly, hateful, painful things and should expect backlash for breathing life into the decades of pain of real victims...and new victims as well.

but she is not a victim. Not even close.

She is on a list of her own.

News....like digging up old **** that wasn’t pushed by the candidate when running so that there’s a target?

Frank.......how are CNNs ratings since Cheeto left office?

You know it’s actually a bit saddening to see people unhappy with seeing no verbal outrage about a candidate that nobody (literally) ever heard of or supported other than her district.
